After reaching the half-way point back in December, downtown’s upcoming Paramount Miami Worldcenter has achieved its final height of 700 feet. The construction milestone saw crews fly the flags of the 50 countries that comprise the project’s geographically diverse condominium customers. Paramount Miami Worldcenter has more international buyers than any other single residential building in the United States, according to its developers.
Rising at 900 NE 1st Avenue, the newly topped-off skyscraper will become the signature residential tower of the sprawling 27-acre Miami Worldcenter mixed-use development. It represents the largest construction site in Miami history and the nation’s second-biggest mixed-use project, behind only Hudson Yards in New York. The complex will include a “high-street” retail corridor as well as new Class A office space.
In addition to its roughly 500 high-end residential units, the 60-story Paramount tower stands out thanks to its extensive amenities. Offerings include an outdoor soccer field, two tennis courts, a boxing studio, golf simulator, indoor basketball court, rooftop observatory, game room, and 26 for-sale poolside cabanas that reportedly cost more than Miami’s median priced home. If that wasn’t enough, the building will also debut the city’s first residential “skyport” specifically designed to accommodate flying cars of the future.
The Paramount Miami Worldcenter project broke ground in late 2016 and expects to welcome residents in the first quarter of 2019. The high-rise comes from developer Paramount Ventures and Elkus Manfredi Architects.
