CNN anchor Chris Cuomo has listed his spectacular Southampton, NY, home for $2.9 million, according to The Observer. He and his wife, Christina, have decided to part with the traditional, shingle-style home they purchased in 2005 for $1.3 million.
Cuomo is the brother of the current New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the son of the late New York Gov. Mario Cuomo, and has worked as an anchor for CNN for more than a decade. He currently hosts a nightly prime-time CNN show, appropriately titled, “Cuomo Prime Time.”
The two-story, 3,000-square foot home is light and airy across its five bedrooms and four bathrooms. In 2008, the couple finished an extensive renovation on the property, adding stylish wide-plank floors and wainscoting.
Once complete, the home was featured in the pages of Elle Decor, where Christina referred to the home as “mellow.” The beach house has served as a retreat for the Cuomos and their children ever since.
Sitting on more than a half-acre and located near the area’s beaches, shopping, and restaurants, the home is an ideal spot for warm-weather entertaining. Surrounded by hedges for privacy, it features a full-length back deck, heated blue stone pool, and a large yard that includes a vegetable garden and outdoor shower.
Inside, the space is comfortable and serene, with everything a family needs to get away from downtown city life. The Cuomos also keep a home on the Upper East Side in the city, according to The Observer.

The family has a deep connection to Southampton. Christina told a local news outlet she’s “been coming to the Hamptons since I was born. My hamlet is Southampton, where I learned to ride a bike and swim in the tumultuous Atlantic Ocean—it is part of the fabric of my being,”
That doesn’t make it sound as if the Cuomos would ever really leave Southampton for good. Perhaps the couple are in the market for a new home to transform into something truly special.
