After Losing Election, Former Rep. Dana Rohrabacher Selling $1.7M O.C. Home

Former U.S. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher lost his longtime seat representing his Orange County district in 2018. After three decades in Congress, the Republican stalwart is also leaving his Costa Mesa, CA, home.

He and his wife, Rhonda Rohrabacher, listed their home for $1.7 million. They’d purchased it in 2012 for $950,000.

No matter your political affiliation, we can all agree that the two-story home offers plenty of charm. Built in 1950 with three bedrooms and 2.5 baths, the space offers casual “coastal elegance,” the listing notes.

The recently renovated layout includes distressed hardwood floors, a Dutch door, and custom wainscoting and crown molding.

The remodel also changed the floor plan to include a library and an office. The main level features a living room and formal dining room. The updated kitchen has custom cabinetry, granite countertops, and high-end appliances.

Rohrabacher, 71, represented Orange County for 15 terms in Congress. With his supportive views of Russia and its leader, Vladimir Putin, the outspoken Congressman was considered vulnerable in what had been traditionally Republican territory.

The native Californian recently announced plans to move to Maine and focus on writing film scripts and other nonpolitical projects.
